Chelsea is worth it for themed decorations – Jornal Plural

Chelsea, opened in 2016, is a restaurant that has become known in Curitiba for its themed decoration of current series or movies. The space is already decorated with items from Harry Potter, The Simpsons and Wendy, for example, although there appears to be permanent decor from the North American series Friends.

When his report Plural went to visit the venue on the evening of July 17, the decor was distinct from the Mario Bros universe, with coins hanging from the ceiling and a panel where people could be photographed coming out of a green tube, as the game’s main character does.

The place was packed for a Monday and people were still arriving when the reporter was there. Even so, the service was excellent and the order (two hamburgers, a portion of fried onion rings, a mate shake and a coffee) arrived very quickly.

Although Chelsea doesn’t have a children’s area, the many children in the restaurant on the 17th seemed to be having fun with the Mario decorations and colorful food.

Menu

A very positive point is the varied menu with more than 40 food options, 60 drinks, 15 desserts and 7 milkshakes.

The dishes range from pizza to hamburgers, salads and sandwiches, while in the beverage area the restaurant serves a little bit of everything: coffees, Italian sodas, draft beer, soft drinks, juices, beers and wines.

Space

Chelsea’s style is industrial, with exposed concrete and brick walls behind the themed sets.

Although the restaurant is not able to accommodate many people, the space is quite comfortable.

Daily from 11am to 5pm there’s a special brunch menu, with coffee (like iced cappuccino and espresso), savory (like parmesan waffles and Central perk sandwiches) and sweet (like pancakes and churros) options. Prices range from R$12.50 to R$24.90.

Every day from 17:00 to 20:00, the place has a happy hour, with specials on portions, hamburgers, milkshakes and some drinks.

Vegan/Vegetarian: it is possible to request a vegetarian option for all burgers on the menu. There are also pizzas (such as va fa’ napoli, rosita and moo point), and servings of french fries, onion rings and cheese sticks.
